INVISALIGN®
Achieving the perfect smile is something we all know is important but did you know that creating that perfect smile is also important to your overall physical health? Straight teeth create a better environment for effective oral hygiene, reducing problems that can occur later on such as gum disease. Straight teeth even promote better digestion.
Crooked or crowded teeth require orthodontic work but it no longer means the traditional metal braces and brackets. Today, Invisalign® takes a modern approach to straightening teeth — orthodontically effective and almost invisible all at the same time.
How Invisalign® Works —
Dr. Yung uses the cutting-edge technology of Invisalign® to achieve the healthiest and best smile possible. Following a thorough examination to ensure you are a good candidate for Invisalign®, Dr. Yung will use the latest 3-D technology to provide the Invisalign® Company your exact measurements and specifications. They will in turn produce your entire set of aligners custom made to fit you perfectly.
On your next visit, Dr. Yung and his team will explain exactly how to use the aligners and give you the first pair (upper and lower) to wear for two weeks. After two weeks, you will replace them with the next set in the series. Slowly and carefully, each new set will work gently to realign your teeth. You may feel some pressure at first with each new set, but you will quickly get used to the new feel as the transformation continues.
The entire process takes from 6 to 18 months depending on the condition and current alignment of your teeth. During this process, it is best to wear the aligners for 22 hours per day, but remove them for eating, brushing and flossing. It’s the best of all worlds — transforming your new beautiful smile in the most comfortable and attractive way.

Some Common Questions About Invisalign®
Will Invisalign work for my teenager or young children?
The Invisalign® company offers Invisalign Teen®, boasting additional features to ensure your teenager gets the best benefits from the Invisalign® teeth-straightening experience. Children of a younger age may or may not be candidates for Invisalign. Generally, the child must have second baby teeth and partially erupted molars, at minimum. Invisalign® requires greater responsibility, and is generally more costly than traditional metal braces. Dr. Yung will go over all the benefits of Invisalign® with you to help you make an informed decision.
Will my diet be restricted during Invisalign treatment?
One great advantage of Invisalign®) is that the aligners are removable, so you will be able to eat and drink as you please during treatment. Another huge advantage to being able to remove the aligners is hygiene maintenance during treatment, when compared with braces. Of course, you’ll want to brush and floss daily, particularly prior to reinserting your aligners, to maintain fresh breath and excellent oral hygiene. Invisalign® clear braces are a dynamic method for improving dental health and the beauty of your smile.
